Auctions & Private Sales
Below are some common questions about Maynards' auctions and private sales
How do your auctions work?
We conduct both traditional and online auctions, offering competitive bidding environments that connect sellers with qualified buyers around the world.
How many types of auctions does Maynards offer?
Maynards offers three primary auction structures, each designed to match your timeline, risk preference, and financial goals:
- Commission Auctions: Our most common structure. Assets are sold on your behalf, and we retain a pre-defined fee (usually via buyer’s premium). You keep the remaining proceeds—ideal for maximizing returns with complete transparency.
- Cash Offer Auctions (Outright Purchase): We purchase your assets outright, typically funding 100% within 24 hours of agreement. You get immediate, risk-free liquidity—perfect for time-sensitive or high-risk situations.
- Net Minimum Guarantee Auctions: A hybrid model. You receive a guaranteed minimum payment before auction day, and if the auction exceeds that threshold, we share the upside. A great fit for clients who want both security and potential bonus returns.
We also offer real estate solutions alongside equipment disposition, including auctions, private sales, and co-brokered deals.
What’s the difference between an auction and a private sale?
Auctions are public and fast-paced, often ideal for surplus or time-sensitive assets. Private sales are more strategic and confidential, typically used for specialized equipment or targeted buyer outreach.
